General FAQ Q: How long does it take to setup the new order? A: We will setup your new account in less than one hour after the verification. Q: When I try to connect to an IRC server I get the message "Too many connections from your host". What can I do? A: Your vhost might be used by other users, therefore you should try another IRC server or select a different vhost. If problem persist you should contact us. Q: I connected to the IRC server, but instead of vhosts I have an unresolved IP. How can I get a resolved vhost? A: Connect to a different server and if you have the same problem you should report it to support@technoshells.com Q: What is a unix shell account? A: Shells are the command interpreter used to pass commands to an operating system; so called because it is the part of the operating system that interfaces with the outside world. The commonest Unix shells are the c shell (csh) and the Bourne shell (sh). Q: How do I access my shell account? A: You access your shell account via ssh. SSH is a program similar to telnet, which will give you access to the shell on the remote machine. It is better than telnet because it uses encryption, meaning your password and text are not transmitted in clear text. If you do not have ssh, feel free to download ssh from http://www.technoshells.com/source/putty.exe Q: Can I use my own domain for personal/custom vhost? A: Yes you can use your own domain as vhost. mail us about it at support@technoshells.com Q: Why is my psyBNC killed as soon as I execute ./psybnc ? A: Edit you psybnc.conf and replace the field PSYBNC.SYSTEM.HOST1=* with PSYBNC.SYSTEM.HOST1=0::0 You can also use the getpsy script as specified on server's motd.
